FAUCETS

My work „Faucet” was created at my parents house in Gstaad. It's an old farm house and there's a total of six faucets in the house, every one with it's own unique look. A question I asked myself was: “Why would anyone take a picture of a faucet” – My answer was: “Well I don't know, but why not.” Along with this simple question I would like to show, that something we use day by day, something very simple and basic, can be displayed in a way we'd never see it, in a way by which the final image becomes captivating to the viewer and creates a personal value.(The final work no longer appears as a simple Faucet, it becomes something new, a piece of art to something we know so well, but yet we might question ourselves "what is it?".)

This a series of 6 photographs. Every image was photographed with the same light, the same distance and hight to the object, same strength of water and same focus point, which is just at the tip of the faucet.
