Scanners have always fascinated me. And using this device in a way that is not exactly typical, makes it even more fascinating. Especially there is a great coincidence as you use a scanner in this way. I like the unexpected. That is why I like working with analog film as much as developing the film by myself. This makes it captivating, as you're never quite sure what will, or if anything will appear on the film.
These "sunny selfportraits" is a project of personal interest, as I was bored and after scanning my face a couple month ago, I was up and ready to do it again. The sunglasses gave me a theme, the extra items in the images give it another content and also changing my clothes from scan to scan provides the final images with interest.
